Michael was only sixty eight when he was called to his heavenly reward.
Medically retired due to his illness and who was always in full time employment and good health since he left St Peter's grammar school Preswhich to start his working life with Ferranti's in Hollinwood.
Our late parents arrived in England from Danzig Germany for our mum and S East Poland (now part of western Ukraine) for our dad in 1948. He and his brother Bernhard (only family) were both born in Morpeth Northumberland “Geordies” during the early 1950s when the family moved to Longsight and then to Moston Manchester in 1956.
Michael was a fully qualified Mechanical Engineer working for the specialist textile company Ahlstrom Fibre Composites at the Mount Sion Works in Radcliffe until his first of four strokes back in March 2010 which sadly ended his career.
It was in September 2014 that he was diagnosed with the terminal condition PSP (Progressive Supranuclear Palsy) a neurological and degenerative illness with no cure or treatment.
